How to Wear an N95 Mask Properly - BIELCOR This video is about how you can put on a dust mask properly to secure yourself. Putting on your n95 mask is quick and easy. Donning Place the mask in your hand with the open side facing up and the nose section pointing forward. Let the straps dangle. Move the mask up to cover your nose and mouth. Tighten the nose covering (the thin metal strip conforms to the shape of the bridge of your nose) This gives you a custom fit that securely keeps particulates outside the mask. Take the top strap and stretch it over the top of your head (letting it tighten around the top/back part of your head.) Move the bottom strap up over your head and let it rest at the bottom of your neck. When these two straps are properly placed, they hold the mask firmly and comfortably to your face and head. Check to make sure the mask is securely sealed with the edges against your face all the way around. You will be able to breathe freely through the mask as the material effectively filters out particulates according to the mask's rating. Doffing To remove the mask, lean your head forward and bring the lower strap back over the top of your head. Then pull the top strap up over your head. The Bielcor N95 B201 mask provides a good fit on your face with no detectable leakage, especially around the area of the nose. I know this because I wear glasses and other masks have caused my glasses to fog up but not this one.
